Spinnable has a library of ready-to-hire roles. Each role arrives with a job description, working rules, suggested tools and a set of skills: saved workflows the worker already knows how to run. You don’t start from a blank page. You start from a new hire who already knows the job and only needs to learn how your business works. These guides take you through a role’s first week: what to connect before you hire, what your worker will ask you, the first tasks to hand over and what to put on a schedule.

How hiring a role works

1

Browse the roles

In the workspace where the worker should belong, open Hire in the sidebar. Under Browse by role, filter by category (for example Finance, Growth or Operations) and open a role.
2

Read the role page

Each role page shows an Overview, What they do, its Skills and common Questions. It’s the job description. Read it before you hire.
3

Hire and choose a candidate

Select Hire this role, then pick the candidate you’d like on your team. Your new worker gets its own email address and opens a chat with you.
4

Connect the tools

Connect the apps the role uses under Settings > Tools, then check they’re turned on in the worker’s own Tools section. See Setting Up Tools.
5

Answer the setup questions

Most role skills are marked Needs setup when you open them from the worker’s Skills section. The first time you use one, your worker asks you for what it needs, like your timezone, your VIP contacts or your ideal customer, and saves your answers into the skill.
Hiring a role needs a paid plan. If your plan has no free worker slot, the new worker starts On holiday until you free a slot or upgrade. See Usage Limits.

Get the most from the first week

  • Finish setup in a live chat. Setup questions need you there to answer them. A skill that still needs setup can’t finish it during a scheduled run, so answer the questions before you put anything on a schedule.
  • Start with one skill. Get one workflow right, give feedback, then add the next. It’s how you’d onboard a person.
  • Correct out loud. When something’s off, say so in plain words (“VIP emails should never be archived”). Your worker remembers it. See Training & Feedback.
  • Schedule what works. Once a task comes out right, ask for it on a schedule. See Scheduling Tasks.
  • Use your words. The prompts in these guides are starting points, not scripts. Change them to fit how you work.
Don’t see your role? Describe the job on the Hire a worker page instead of picking from the list. These guides still apply: connect the tools, teach the context, start with one task, then schedule it. For ideas, see Ideas for Your AI Team or the role library on our website.
The role library keeps growing, and roles get updated. If a role’s skills differ from what a guide describes, the role page in the app is the current source.
