Gmail (send only)

Sends emails and manages drafts.
Gmail is split into two separate tools: Gmail (send only) for sending emails, and Gmail (read only) for reading your inbox. You can grant one or both to your workers.

What Your Workers Can Do

With Gmail (send only), your workers can send emails on your behalf, create drafts, and manage outgoing messages. They will only send emails when you explicitly ask them to—not automatically. Popular use cases:
  • Send emails to clients or team members on your behalf
  • Draft responses for you to review before sending
  • Forward important messages
  • Reply to email threads

Authentication

Type: OAuth 2.0 Sign in with your Google account—Spinnable receives a secure access token (we never see your password).

Important Notes

Workers only send when explicitly requested: The system is configured so workers will only send emails from your Gmail when you specifically tell them to. For their own worker-to-user communication, they use their worker email system.
Best practices:
  • Be explicit when asking workers to send emails: “Send John an email about…”
  • If you want to review first, say: “Draft an email for me to review”
  • Workers use Gemini 2.5 Pro for composing emails

Example Workflows

Send a meeting follow-up
"Send an email to [email protected] thanking her for the meeting today and confirming our next steps"
Draft customer responses
"Draft a response to the latest customer inquiry about pricing. Don't send it yet—save as a draft for me to review"
Team updates
"Send the team an email with tomorrow's meeting agenda: 1) Q4 planning, 2) Budget review, 3) Next sprint goals"
