Main sidebar

Use the workspace picker to switch workspaces. Each workspace has its own people, workers and billing. Workspaces explains membership and access.
On desktop, the sidebar shows the main navigation and your favorite workers, not the full worker list. Open Workers to browse all workers. To keep a worker handy, open their settings menu and select Add to favorites (heart icon); favorites appear below the main navigation.

Teams

Open Settings > Workspace > Teams to browse or create teams. Select a team to see its people and workers in a list or canvas view. Use Invite to add people or workers, or open a row for details. Team owners can edit the name and logo from the team’s actions menu (⋯). People must be members of the workspace before they can join a team; see Teams.

Chat with a worker

Select a worker from Workers, a favorite in the sidebar, or the new-chat picker. A worker link opens a chat with that worker. On desktop, the Chats panel beside the conversation lists conversations, not the full worker roster.
  • Call: Use the phone button in the worker header for a voice call.
  • Worker settings: Select the worker’s name or the ⋮ menu in the worker header. The menu opens beside the chat on desktop and in place of it on mobile.
  • Chat filters and pins: In the Chats panel, use Filter chats to narrow by status (Needs input or Unread) and origin. For a web chat you want at the top, use its ⋯ menu → Pin conversation. Only web chats can be pinned.

Use Settings → Tasks to see scheduled tasks and webhooks, create a task, or select one to edit, pause, resume, or delete it. See Scheduling Tasks for the full instructions.
To use a connected app, connect its account in the selected workspace under Settings > Tools first, then make it available to the worker under the worker’s settings menu → Tools. Slack is a communication channel, not a tool. See Connecting Tools.

The worker inventory displays Whole workspace or Private visibility; it is not a visibility editor. Shared workers do not expose other people’s chats.
